So you have used Referrals more than once? I thought by law they could only give you the presentation once?
Nope. They say that at the beginning of every presentation but I believe that has to do with them not being allowed to bother you more than once during the vacation. I’ve seen them use it in the sense if you don’t buy in right now then you can’t come back in three days to decide to buy. I don’t think that is true but that is what we have been told. Nikki
I’m going in dec and will be sitting in a presentation. They take an hour and half to sell you, but if later you want to give them money they won’t take it? This sounds super crazy. I really hope they try that on me.
That story was told to us during two different presentations. We will be sitting through another one in approximately 20 days. Nikki
We have done the presentation like 5 times combining TTR and Desire trips. The lines about not being able to sell to you later or take the presentation again are entirely sales tactics. Obviously they want you to buy then and there. They don’t want you to go away and do any thinking. But if you do and then decide you want to buy they will be very happy to take your money.
I’m sure they’ll take my money later, but it’s absurd they think I’ll believe it’s now or never or that’s anyway to get me to put my money down.
I thought this was a time share thing but from reading this it looks like you pay a fee to be a "Premier Member." What is the fee?
It is a timeshare thing but not a traditional one. You purchase a Premier Membership package that contains x amount of nights (as in 175, 350, etc) over x amount of time ( as in 25 years). You then pay a reduced rack rate (hotel rate for non members) for each night when used. There is no yearly fee as with traditional timeshares. You also receive some additional benefits like guranteed room availabilty, upgraded liquors, upgraded menu items, access to certain areas, access to book the privat yacht, etc that non members do not receive. Premier is not the TTR hotel itself. I am sure others will add or possibly dispute some of the facts and what I have shared but this is the jest of it. Premier is not for everyone. In fact we just booked our Feb and April trips through third party sites like other non members do and it was cheaper than going through Premier. But because we are Members we get our “black wrist bands” and all our Premier benefits. Our rooms are guaranteed and we have written confirmation. And because we did not book through Premier the nights do not count against our contract with them (our x amount of nights remaining). We will save those for low season when our Premier price is less than third party sites or when Premier runs a secret black Friday sale again like the did last year...not this year Was basically buy 2 nights get 1 free and room ravk rate was reduced too saving even more $$$.
Do you happen to remember what the smallest possible package is? I can't imagine committing to going to Temptation every year for 25 years but it might be nice to enjoy the Premier benefits.
