Any tips for making the referral pitch go faster?

    This is our first referral trip so we have to do the pitch. My question is this. We have no interest in buying and have been to TTR four times so can we skip anything or say something specific?

    We plan on early morning the day after pitch time.

    Get the mimosa, spill it and break the glass. A little cut from the glass and you are out of there. It worked for me at least...

    Listen and don’t interrupt and then when asked if you will buy in say

    “ our money is managed we aren’t free to “invest” without consulting our advisor so please provide me a copy of what you want him to review and we will decide if we are buying in for our next trip. “

    Conversely you could just get Jen way too many drinks and have her experience a significant wardrobe malfunctions that ends in a cascading table top stripper dance for everyone. Just sayin that could work too.

    I’m trying to figure out if the wardrobe malfunction idea was from Kath. My initial thought is this has Brian written all over it.

    You guys bought in, did you actually get them to give you a copy?

    Nope the only way to get a copy that I am aware of is to sign and pay a deposit on your contract. There is a short cancellation period allowed but it runs out often before your holiday does so if you are considering it do the presentation at the end so if you get yourself into trouble you can get home, get legal advice and submit the correct cancellation document in time.

    We bought an existing contract from a member rather than through the sales presentation and that worked good for everyone.

    Oh an yes it was Brian suggesting the naughty wardrobe malfunction idea for Jen - can you blame me?

    They know all the tricks to get out of there. If you don’t show them respect then they won’t show you respect. Don’t ask any questions and answer their questions with as few words as possible. The sooner they get thru everything they have to do as part of their job the sooner you get out of there.

    Maybe avoid the presentation by not taking a referral in the first place?

    Premier are providing you with extra benefits at a cost to themselves, at least give them the time of day.

    Isn't this just like going to the Lamborghini dealer and taking a test drive for a fun afternoon out!?

    Skip the breakfast meeting and meet in the lobby for the start of the tour. We were very honest with our guide from the start that we had no intentions of buying. She was very sweet and only took us to see the penthouse and master suite, skipping the rest of the tour. Don't ask questions and just say no thanks when they start negotiating in the "war room". The whole process was a little more than an hour and we were off to the sexy pool.
