Stacia picked out some square cut brieffrom Skinzwear.com which I really (I mean REALLY) like to wear, as they're so comfortable. I can hardly tell they're on. I find myself checking. They're not see-through (as in transparent), but they are... translucent, I think is the term? You can tell what's up, it's just not a clear window. I don't care about the show-off factor, because there really isn't one.. but I DO like the comfort!
That’s where I get mine from Skinz and must agree they are very comfortablw indeed. I too have tan-thrus which are as you describe, very sheer and somewhat see thru but not transparent. I think I’m up to 10 pair. They are $40-50 each but well worth it. I wear the same style 43...(there are many and you must decide what fits you best) and order in different colors/patterns to match my wife. She orders various styles of course. But she also orders other brands and we find Skinz matetial patterns that match close enough!
During my trip I didn't saw any guys with 'see through' bathing suits but there was maybe 4-5 women wearing that.
I just bought some shorter trunks yesterday myself. I bought two pair from a brand named ‘addiction’ and a pair of diesel as well. They are short square cut but not tight. They fit more like my right shorts used to. Very comfortable and a pocket in the liner for ‘controuring’ I was told haha. Fit great, not long, fun, and playful. Another option if men don’t want the tighter euro fit. I’ll see if I can upload some pics
