Most understood!’ We have not tried the SFX or RCI thing yet but have started looking into it. Any pointers or suggestions? PM me if youfont want to clog up this string. I just dont like the fact that membership prices cam be more than 3rd party sites...but hey that’s capitalism! We save our Referrals for friends and tell them that if they have no interest then to avoid the sales pitch. And we dont care about the $250 as they are friends. No one needs tosit through that shit if nit truly interested...especially friends.
I'm not a member so for me it was off with the white band and on with the red for the rest of the week with member benefits.
Don’t ever believe the resort chat. They have been wrong so many times. A shame. We got the red bands as a master then penthouse and we had access to the premier level alcohol which is better than what white bands have access to. Example #1 Fireball
I posted in the Facebook group as well. Trying to figure out some options. Here goes, @Steve let me know if this is not allowed. Our long time friend says that we cant do referral now that we have booked through a third party. Im not about to put my credit card into a mexican website, not now, not ever. A facebook person messaged me and said she could do it, we had a great conversation and she offered to do it for 300 cdn to cover her 250 loss. Im cautious here and just doing some research. Our agent who we booked through, said we could upgrade when we arrived for 50 usd per person per night (600 bucks) What exactly does premier get you? Access to the roof top pool Access to premiere member only spaces (when we were there in 14 this was a special space in pattios, and the wooden area by the pool) Higher quality drinks Some different menus at the restaurants? One lobster dinner, and access to 25% discounts on more? A butter? The reality is i am NEVER GOING TO BUY. Just want to check it out.
Ok a lot in this post. Let me see if I can cover... 1. Zero chance I would pay $50 each a day to have premier (black band) benefits. I wouldn’t even pay $20 a day total. 2. Zero chance I would pay someone $250 I met on Facebook for the opportunity to be premier for the trip. Too much risk and again not worth the benefits. 3. Understanding you can’t get a referral this trip since you already booked via third party then I would just go and enjoy my white bands. It really isn’t that different. 4. If you really want to try out membership then next time book via a referral and try it out. That is the entire purpose of a referral. Go to the presentation to the person that referred you gets their $250 as a result. It is 1-2 hours of your time and no extra cost to you and you get to try it out and see for yourself whether the perks are worth it to you.
Red band, on our last trip we saw Steve wearing one maybe he knows what the red band means and what it gets you. T
Red band got us everything we got as a black band (on referral) with even better Butler service for what that’s worth. Red band comes with Master or Penthouse these days. Wasn’t the case in the first few months after reopening. I saw someone say they didn’t get better alcohol and were not able to sit in premier sections but we were able to do all of the above.
I did pay extra $250 for our 10 day stay in the tower room, blue band, it was well worth it especially since Donna had a torn Achilles and climbing stairs was difficult. We used the Sky 3.5 roof area quite a bit. Pretty sure we will only be booking tower rooms from now on and the blue band gave us everything that we needed. T
