Anyone know if it's okay/possible to use cash at the spa? Or do you need to charge it to your room? Thanks!

We paid cash to get my wife’s nail repaired at the Salon so I think you can at the Spa too.
You certainly can at the shop in the lobby...have and also have charged to the room.
Since reno though their prices are through the roof!

But at checkout they tried to say that we did not pay cash at the Salon and it was on our room bill.
Of course we tipped the girl cash too.
It took about 15 minutes to get it straightened out.
So be sure to get a receipt marked paid in full and carry it with you to checkout.

Same thing at checkout when I paid cash for the week long porn package....a whole $12!
I gave her 3 $5 bills and told her to keep the change...as she had no change available to give me!
She stapled the 3 $5 bills to the room checkout paperwork along with our cut off wrist bands but not sure, nor recall if we got a receipt.
When our car came to pick us up the bellhop told me there was a problem with our room bill...something with the Salon I asked, no it was the TV (porn) so back to the checkout desk!
Guess...they wanted me to pay for the porn...again!
    I ‘splained.
Another 5 minutes wait to straighten it out.
Our checkout paperwork was found and guess what, the 3 $5 bills were missing, same with our cut off wrist bands.
They tracked down the girl and questioned her...she had not processed our closeout paperwork yet and we were good to go.
There is lits of activity with everybody checking out at 11-1 and they get backed up.

Hence get and hold on to all cash receipts until you are on the road to the airport.
But be prepared to show and ‘splain!

Thanks for the great explanation! What a pain in the ass! I've got the cash already, but I think I'll head to the bank and stick it right back in there and pay with a credit card.

Allways pay with a credit card that way there's a paper trail.
I don't recommend using a debit card at TTR or anywhere.

Many have foreign transacrion fees which make it more expensixe with credit card. There is also the currency exchange rate which typically jacks the cost up even more.

Another damned if you do and damned if you don’t MX or TTR experience!

I will gladly pay a small one time foreign transaction fee then have someone get into my personal banking information through a debt card.
A friend of ours had a debt card hacked they cleaned out thier savings and checking accounts, it took them forever to get it sorted out.

    Most agreed.
Was not commenting on debit card but was commenting on credit card vs. cash.

It’s a real bad idea to use a personal debt card at public terminals. If you travel, definitely look into travel credit cards that offer free foreign transaction fees. I believe the CapitalOne Venture Card has no yearly fee and doesn’t require you to report travel dates. Chase Sapphie has a small fee yearly and no foreign transaction fee. Credit cards like American Express often will get you the best convertion rate from the US dollar.
