Is it going to weird for us going to Temptations? We are a group of 6 guys going for a friend's 50th b-day. We all love to party and hang out by the pool. 2 years ago we went to Golden Parnassus and had a GREAT time. Let me know your thoughts. We are headed there in January.
You will be in the minority, as most guests are couples. There are a lot of negative posts about groups of singles so others may be a little guarded at first. We have met lots of singles at TTR and most of them have been awesome people to party with. We have also met complete douchebags that can't handle their alcohol and think TTR is a free for all meat market(some of those were hubands/boyfriends too). Don't be one of those douchebags and you will have a great time. TTR has the most social, accepting, outgoing people we have ever met at any resort and some have become life long friends. Go, party, make friends and make some awesome 50th birthday memories.
Thanks for the info Jamie and Lisa. Trust me, we are seasoned veterans when it comes to alcohol. None of us are very shy, so I'm sure we will make plenty of new friends. We are really looking forward to it.
Just be aware that some might be intimidated by you guys. That's because a lot of groups of guys that come in think it's an all you can eat buffet just because they can see tits. Treat people with respect, they're guests and having a good time. Put your phones away and you'll be fine.
Thanks Bearhug. We definitely understand that, but that's not what we're looking for anyway. We are definitely looking forward to the drinks, food, fun and scenery of course. Phones are not allowed by our group anyway, because we have the motto, What happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico!!! Looking forward to a great time.
Met lots of really nice single guys...when it comes to larger groups of single guys...to be honest I have an open mind when meeting anyone and treat everyone with respect and the benefit of the doubt, but havemt met many larger groups of single guys that didn’t have at least a couple problematic guys. There might be a guarded response at first to you guys but if you are polite, not grabby, and genuinely just looking to have fun you will have a blast Too many times groups of single guys get drinking and can forget their manners...I know when I’m with my buddies we can be a pain in ass at the best of times let alone TTR Be decent, introduce yourself to people smile and be genuine...no matter how many shots, try and pick up the feel of people...some will be happy to party with you guys, some won’t...almost all will be nice though... do the same and be non aggressive and get a feel of people... Simple things like a handshake and smile and asking to dance before you dry hump go a lomg way Have a good time , just be classy with people and you will meet great friends. One of the best people I have met there is a single guy we travel with ...it’s not about relationship status it’s about how you can treat people... Have a blast the placement is amazing
I have gone lots as a single guy. Never had issue. But everyone above have put it well. And I know both Bearhug and Cancouple56. Respecting everyone and there space and talking to everyone.

We have never had much of an issue with single guys. The few times we have seen people have issues is pretty much things that have already been said, but not by single guys in their 50s. Twice we have been when there was a group of single guys for a bachelor party. Mostly in their 20s. The first time we were there with a bachelor party group it was a disaster for most of them. The second group all had a blast. I am willing to bet that at 50 you have figured out why one group had fun and one group 2/3 of them got asked to leave by management. And if you haven't This thread probably wont help.
