What do you tell friends and family...

Since this is our first time to TTR and we just booked, we don't know what to tell our friends and family in terms of where we are staying. Do you just tell them a nearby resort?

 

I was wondering the same thing.

Lol the truth. They already know we’re a little crazy.

 

We say Riu caribe. We used to stay there so we have pictures of the resort and everything

 

Why would you not just tell the truth? If you do anything that they might not approve of, leave it out, but why hide where you went? Would you lie about going to Vegas because of all the rumours about "what happens in Vegas"?

 

We went to the Golden Parnasses the first two trips, so we tell them we are going there again... if they ask. Which they really don’t.

 

I think a lot of people might jump to conclusions when the do a quick google search of temptations.

 

Im quite sure they might jump to the wrong conclusions but two more minutes of searching this forum or TripAdvisor will give hundreds of "this is not Hedo" reviews as well.

 

Given most people have access to nearly unlimited amounts of information via a device in their pocket, you'd be surprised at how painfully unresourceful some people still are .

As for what I say, I just dont really bring it up. But I am a very private person so it wouldn't be unusual for people that know me to find out months afterwards I went to Cancun.
