Hello Patch, I've heard they have stop the body shots at the Tiki bar. Seems they have had some incidents of people falling off the bar. Also read a review on TA that was from yesterday and again it mention that they are not serving alcohol until noon. The review also mention no bloody marys or mimosa at breakfast buffet. If this remains true we may cancel and go to TTR or somewhere else. It seems to me that this is a GP thing and not the new Mexican alcohol law .
Hello CC. Im OK with the No booze before noon thing, Ill improvise , i get that its important to many to have that choice - it should still be available, even if just at 1 bar.. I know the body shots are , and have always been discouraged by management - but they still happen.. (with the right group) For us, there needs to be an in between - we like the "fun stuff" but in chunks, not all day. TT is a little too much for us as a 7 day trip, we would do a 2 night stay at the end of our 7 day at the GP or even try a day pass to the resort.. Just to get a feel.. (pun intended) But we like the GP for its unpredictablness ( if there is such a word) it can go 0-60 with the right group but , also go 60-0 with the wrong group. Heck, Ill make you a Mimosa and deliver it to you , if you are at the GP at the same time!
Yes our plans are still GP at this point. TTR is pretty high right now. We don't get to GP till the 29th. We always do 10 days on Isla Mujeres. We stay at a little mom and pop place along the caribbean side and then do last 3 nights AI. Usually its TTR or GP. I guess the Dolphin bar is open at 11. I hope Miss Carmen is still working there. She was our beach waitress last May. She took good care of her "Papi".
