We have booked 4/12/18-4/18/18 This is our second trip. We had so much fun and met great ppl in Sept that we had to book again!!
Sorry to miss the fun but yeah we had a bad taste in our mouth after this years April trip. I do think going a non-takeover week instead would solve many of the issues. Can you believe I even received some nasty grams after the above posts? Makes me question motives. But regardless it changes the all inclusive openness which many love so much about TTR. April is such a busy / fun time of year with both great regulars and a mix of newbies. Surprised the resort even allowed a takeover then.
We are booked for April 6-16th at the moment. So about a 24 hour overlap woth the takeover. We may attempt to push a bit later in April but will wait for some of our April friends to decide what they will do.
If it is only a 1 day cross over, who knows, maybe it will be interesting to see what happens with that big of a takeover and how the resort handles non takeover folks.
Yeah that was my thought. We can stand on our heads for 24 hours if necessary! And figured they may have their private party at Skybar the last night before leaving on the 7th. So just some pool crossover. May be an experience! I’m curious about your bad taste experirnce and also nasty grams. If you prefer not to share here and will PM me. I know the MochaFest takeover kind of destroyed Octoberbreast this year based on what Nikki wrote. It is certainly a shame but part of the reno business strategy as many of us predicted. Fill the rooms no matter what snd follow de mone!
