we are going temptations for the first time next May I was just wondering if people go out and about in cancun much or just stay in the hotel??????? What bars are fun/wild? I like the look of senor frogs?i see they have a foam party? Thanks
This is our first time back since the renovations, but in the past (if I remember correctly) they would bring representatives of local establishments to the sexy pool to put on a little show and then sign people up to go on excursions to these special bars and events that night. I am not sure if they do it now, but if they do, just sign up for one of these. They will explain everything at the time. If I am wrong, please someone correct me ... thanks have fun.
Not many at all. It is kind of like you are given a comped meal at a 5 star steakhouse but McDonalds is across the street and it will cost you $100 to go there. Why pay more for worse?
There are fun things to do on the strip where all the clubs are at but honestly it gets really expensive. We have been to Cancun 12x (last 3 at TTR). We have not left TTR. The clubs on the strip advertise all you can drink with paid entrance (usually $50/person for the big clubs and $20-25 for the smaller bars) HOWEVER, getting a refill at a club is a mission and most of the time you are limited to the basic tap beer and simple mix drinks (tequila sunrise, margaritas etc). If there is a special guest artist performing at a club like “The City”, expect to pay $80-100 to get in. Nothing beats the vibe of Bash even though it’s small compared to the clubs. A suggestion: if there is a night when it’s a little dead at bash during your stay, be adventurous and take the bus across the street and go to the clubs or at least hang out on the strip so you can see the atmosphere yourself. Most clubs/bars don’t close until 4am or so.

Senior Frogs and Carlos n Charles are fun, especially if with others. But also fun if alone ad long as you participate in the fun. They are worth at least one visit if in Cancun often. But as others have posted be prepared to spend some money. A few years back wife and I dropped $350 for some food and mainly drink one evening and the alcohol was not that good. Also woke with terrible hangovers! This was a night before staying at TTR as we stayed one night in a hotel near both and walked to and from.
