We are here now. Some folks are overthinking this...bring the extra stick on hooks, your meds as the store across the street is stupid expensive, passport, sunscreen and cash. Good to go. The resort supplies pretty much anything else you'll need like food, booze, air and water. You are not at home and you can truly get by without all your worldly posessions for a week. You're not camping. You'll be just fine.

Hey! I was thinking of bringing my hair colour/peroxide this trip...and thought maybe I need to look into it to make sure its legal to do? (Who knows these days). Im assuming you've done it and have had no issues? Did you put it in a seperate container or just brought the whole tube of colour down?

Try blue painters tape. 1 layer may give you some ambiance 2-3 layers should block light completely. Also shouldn't leave any damage when you pull it off. Duct tape is stronger but may pull coatings off when you remove it.

Is this for sleep? Why not an eye mask?

Yes it's for sleeping and don't like wearing sleeping mask.

We take suction cup hooks from the doller store. Great to hang towels and wet suits on.
The rooms have nothing to hang stuff on.

Your favorite coffee thermos to get filled in the morning at the coffee bar. The cups are small that they supply.

Additional bubble bath if your room has a hot tub.

Spray in detangler for your hair.

If your a smoker, ziplock bag to keep them dry at the pool.

-Here's is one of my secrets for almost any resort hotel. I like to have the slider open so I can bring the sounds from the outdoors in when on vacation. However most rooms when you do this the AC turns off, cant blame them. The trick is there is a magnetic sensor on the door frame somewhere, usually where the door closes. I bring a small magnet place it on the door frame sensor and the AC stays on. This way the wife and I can have sexy time with the sounds of the ocean or whatever fun is going on outside. Everyone has there thing I guess, this is one of ours

-We also bring one of this little aroma therapy diffusers. Caribbean/Mexican hotel rooms are notorious for a damp smell at time. It just has to do with the climate more than their house keeping. We used to bring candles but on place we stayed at house keeping was required to remove them from the room

    -
small pad and pen to leave notes to house keeping. Our room didn't have one

-Ipod with tunes. xm, Amazon and other streaming music doesn't work in Mexico if you have a US subscription.

-Ear plugs for if yo too close to bash and call it a early night.

-Plastic bags of some sort for you trip home. you have more wet and sweaty clothes than you think you will have. Helps keep that stench down when you open that suitcase. Sorry about the thought, but were all adults here

-Tide pen. Im not bring more pants then I absolute have too.

    - pool floats for your vessel of choice. It really is a lot better than holding the thing all day. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075FLW7NR/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
