You can, but that's the inflated aspect. Just like any resto here really. It's not terrible, but it's cheaper to pay for the stop on the transfer, buy a bunch of stuff, then come.

I would just advise to not assume Cancun airport customs is the cheapest. Yes it is convenient but in April I compared the cost of home liquor store to Philadelphia airport duty free to Cancun airport duty free and Cancun was easily the most expensive. I compared grey goose vodka and captain morgans. Kind of a pet peeve of mine that the ads imply duty free is cheaper but frequently with liquor it is not.
Note it is the ‘plush’ jacuzzi room that is by the quiet pool. Lush rooms have jacuzzis but are in the tower. Not sure if you meant to type plush or hopefully didn’t book lush thinking it was quiet pool. The lush rooms are really nice though and have good sound proofing if that is what you booked

Agreed there are much cheaper places to buy alcohol in Cancun than the duty free on the way in, which isn't actually 'duty free' because you have already entered Mexico before you can access the store. Even on the way out where it should actually be duty free it's more expensive than stores in town. Cigarettes are the same. But, stores in town take up your time and cost money to get to and back from, so may not be worth bothering with in the long run in any case.
