They have a lot, but it's inflated...very inflated. I stopped looking a few trips ago. But a wide selection of premium alcohol. Even some mexicain craft beer which was actually really good.
Across the street is ridiculously inflated. We bring grey goose. Note it costs less at home than duty free in philly which is less than duty free Cancun which is less than we have found separately in Cancun (last check they didn’t have it at Walmart but that was several years ago) And the convenience is well worth it.
We always stop at the liquor store in the airport between immigration and baggage claim and get a few bottles of premium vodka. Even in the airport, it is cheaper than in the U.S. and by the time we check out, our luggage is ready and we're on our way! No hassles and top shelf booze with little to no hangovers!
We are planning on doing the same.....airport liquor store. Way cheaper for sure than CANADA prices. Ouch. Vodka bottles and of course some great tequila for fun times and couples drinks.
That' a great idea but I'm still bringing at least 2 bottls of her favorite rum for thexample room. I' thinking fireball at he airpor.
We only have carry on luggage, but going to try and get some fireball, at Chicago for the last leg to Cancun. It was reported a few months ago, that was easy to do. As for the vodka, it did seem “watered down, not sure. I know the day I drank Captain, it was plenty strong.
I don't see how this is possible?!?!? We end up with like 3-5 sets of clothes per day. Not to mention all the shoes.
We are in the same boat. Extra charges for heavy bags for sure. Oh well. Something tells me it’ll be worth it.
