I am 5'3" as well. Had no issues either. Had to hold my drink up but I had to do that in the old sexy pool too. -Chris
Quote: Currently trying to put together an email list of people who should see the recommendations. I would like to send this to several people in management. If you send a document to one person it can be ignored. But send it to several and it as least has to be recognized, and that leads to discussion. If anyone can offer a suggestion or has an email addy, please send it over and I will include them. Thank you![/QUOTE] After our trip in July we had a survey from Jose Romero at mod@temptationresorts seeking info on our experiences. We replied ... in full. Funny never had an acknowledgement to our honest and constructive observations...... obviously not that concerned by patron's observations, so much for customer care !!
Been 6 times never seen or even met anyone under 25 not sure where kids came in.. get one hell of a sex education looking in our windows if we are there,,, The place has changed it was long overdue for upgrades and yes would really like it if they brought back more of the sexy it used to promote but can live with the way it is, its way more fun to enjoy what they have and what we can get away with over worring about they dont have ..... (.Y.)
Hummm, we were at TTR in late June into early July. 1st day we were in wow of the resorts upgrades. Then came the security guy with a whistle. Blowing it to get people out of the pool at 7pm. Plus many of the already mentioned issues and complaints. One we saw that bummed us out was at bash on lingerie night. A young lady had her cute outfit on and lovely long hair that she used to hide her breasts/nipples. It was, as most of us can remember from before the remodel, pretty darn sexy without being overly naked. But the fun police showed up and asked her to put some clothes on that covered her breasts....WHAT! 10 minutes later they were back again..."cover up or we will escort you back to your room". If I remember right lingerie night was the night to be sexy and a bit over the top. Most of us can remember the really warm nights that tops just weren't worn after a hour of dancing. Never thought of that as being a problem or off putting. Truthfully, they've taken 40% of the sexy adult fun away from us long timers. The whole group I was with has already started making plans for next summers vacay. And it doesn't include TTR. For the money we spend we feel there are options out there that will let us do what we've been doing for years at TTR...be uninhibited sexy adults.
Please advise of these places....please! We are aware of some but you may know more. Of course some are full nude which is not everyone’s cup of tea.
Does TTR have any communication channels where you could provide this feedback and receive a response? They have ran a successful business and by changing the atmosphere in a way that discourages long time customers seems like they’re no longer working backwards from what their guests want.
At the core of it, Temptation, and all of the Original Resorts locations... one big busness. What I think is going on is that the family ownership is looking at some so-called "luxury" line of hotels, such as the Westin, right there in Cancun, which can get upwards of $550/night and isn't even all-inclusive. Stacia & i stayed at said Westin last year, and the posted Saturday price was $593/night. It was nothing at all like the vibe at TTR, as you'd expect. What you might not expect is, that while the rooms were a slight bit larger, they were no better than the updated TTR rooms. Customer service sucked, the food was awful, pool side drink service was nearly non-existent, and the sand on their "beach" was very coarse - painful on the feet. But... they're getting ~$550/night, and they run nearly always 90% full or higher in high season. I really think that the TTR ownership would be perfectly satisfied to dump the playground fo adults theme and go with cookie-cutter "Cancun" if they thought they could compete.
Cookie cutter hotel, adult playground and average price per night are mutually exclusive. However, I would agree that the number of customers in the ‘adult playground’ market would be significantly smaller. Moreover, TTR has seemingly created a balance between hard and LS partiers. Historically building a business with what YOUR customers want pays off more than doing something other bunsinsses customers want. If you try to follow another business you’ll always be in their review mirror and only have leverage competing on price and that ends up being difficult for the smaller business and leads to losses. The sudden change to me is strange after a remodel. I would assume TTR is in a position to pay off loans for the remodel. There are two things here maybe, the borrower could have asked the hotel to appeal to a wider audience or they’re suddenly being risk averse after accumulating debt. I’ve made a lot of assumptions here for based off anecdotal evidence and my own assumption as a pending TTR first timer. BUT Any of these reasons mentioned would be to satisfy something short term and the sacrifice of their long term. Their long term being the above average rebooking rate historically. I would be surprised if someone in charge of customer relations or marketing didn’t read this forum. You’re doing all the hard for them when it comes to ‘what can we do better’
Agreed. Unfortunatley when you visit you will have no basis of what was so you may find it quite racey and fun. But it is all relative. Most of the rest, from what I have read and from our experience are quite boring...note I state most. But TTR is certainly not what it was and that is based on only our 2 visits prior to reno and 3 since. But good enough as we are booked for Oct31-Nov9 and then again Apr6-16, 2019. Plan on Punta Cana and Desire too. Wife does not like cruises so won’t go...
