My wife is hesitating on us staying at TTR in October because it's just a bit out of her comfort zone...she's also concerned with having just turned 50, gaining a little weight and thinks TTR will be mostly hot 30 year olds...I tell her how hot she is all the time and have tried to convince her that TTR will be really fun..I've told her that the swingers situation is overblown... also that I'd like to go because of the fun, sexy vibe and think that it will give a little kick start to our 27 year marriage...we will be empty nesters in September when our last of 3 kids goes off to college. I'm feeling like I don't want her to go just because I really want to...I want her to be happy and comfortable...having her be happy makes me happy...I'm easy...I'm now starting to consider staying elsewhere and maybe just doing the Boobs Cruise as are one risque activity...can anybody recommend another adults only, all inclusive resort that she might be happier with?...I mentioned RIU Las Americas because it's in the hotel zone and we could walk to clubs/ restaurants etc...offsite. Any help is much appreciated.
We stayed there when TTR was being remolded. It is a really nice resort and the food was great. The resort gets super quiet after the evening show and pretty much shuts down. You can go to the resort next door and go to their club to dance and I beleive it stayes open till around 2 or 3 am. But it does not even come close to Temptation.
One of the best quotes on this site when it comes to body typing an average TTR patron is “go to your local grocery store and look around, that’s exactly the crowd you’ll see at TTR”. In my opinion that’s absolutely true, the only difference is, the people at the grocery store aren’t having an awesome time.
Yes I would say the age is mixed. It is adult only so that aspect was nice. No topless other than my wife and a couple of friend flashing a few times at the pool. Most of the crazyness that I saw was from our group. If Temptation did not exist I would go back.
We did not care for the food at RPLA, actually liked the food better at Temptations. Trust me you will see any and all body types at Temptations. It's the no judgement zone!
O.M.G.......do not go to another resort, well not a RUI , nice hotels but do you want to be bored and comfortable all your life.... take a chance, what's the worst that can happen ??. You may see or experience things you never new existed... wild adult fun (and yes, fine even over 50...) Sod the age, Go for it, if you don't you could end up regretting it for the rest of your lives. Do it once... Just go and let your hair down and have fun... AGE DOES NOT MATTER... only having fun with some really great people...... end of lecture !!
Thanks everyone...unfortunately it's not me you need to convince...and I've tried really hard to convince her...at the end of the day, I just want to do what's right for my wife...she did agree to do the Boobs Cruise though...that'll have to be enough on this trip I guess...there's always next year or the year after
It's takes baby steps, Boobs Cruise before Temptation may not be the normal recommended way but hey it,s a start. Were well past the 50 mark, have the extra pounds too and things that have slightly changed locations on the body from where they started out, believe me it doesn't matter at Temptation. Below is a recent August 2018 TripAdvisor review, IT'S NOT OURS Honestly, I was a little nervous about this one. Hubby and I got the chance to get away without the kids, and wanted Adult all-inclusive, but I wasn’t sure the topless optional thing would be for me. BOY WAS I WRONG!! First of all, I was worried about being judged or hit on. NO JUDGEMENT anywhere, in fact it was the most comfortable I’ve ever felt in my own skin in public. And I quite enjoyed being hit on feeling conpletely comfortable in the surroundings where no means no. And maybe means maybe, and flirting is fun! We met amazing people. We were there for four nights, and made a point of going to every theme night party. The entertainment from 10:00 to 10:30 was professional quality acrobatics, dancing, performances that were sexy and classy and got the crowd involved. And the DJs were awesome! Having an excuse to dress up every night and then hang out in sparkly bikini (bottoms) all day is probably my new favourite way of living. And hubby was happy. Our room was immaculately cleaned and looked after. Beware of slippery floors when the screen doors are opened and condensation starts to cause wet patches. We stayed in a VIP room and our butler, Ivan, was super cool, very responsive and catered to the smallest details. After day one he had already figured out our favourite drinks and made sure the bar was stocked with our preferred alcohols and mixers (and olives and mini onions). Jacuzzi on the balcony takes about an hour to fill, so it was useful to ask Ivan to do it for us in preparation for our return to our room at 2 or 3 am in the morning!! Food was generally very good. Favourite experiences were the Hibachi at SUTRA and the staff/waiters/reception at FLAME just made the whole evening awesome. We also went to SHE for the couples dinner. The entertainment was beautiful!!! but three of the eight courses were a bit disappointing. Salmon starter was AMAZING, but lamb was very tough, and the duck was overwhelmed by the cinnamon. Although it’s difficult to find good quality steak in Mexico, the rest of the food is soooo good it does not even matter. Try the rooftop burgers and shrimp pops, the calamari with cheesy chorizo sauce, all the tacos, the beef chimichangas, crème caramel, everything!!! I spent the majority of four days eating, dancing or on a lounger in the pool. (Except for the four or five hours spent nursing a hangover from the smoked tequila shots ....uhm...bad idea.) I would go back tomorrow!! Best couples vacation EVER!! T
Our first time last year and it was the best thing we could’ve ever done for our marriage. The swinger life style vibe is definitely there, if your into that, but if your not, people definitely respect that and don’t push it. It was the most judgement free place we’ve ever been too and people will talk to you like they’ve known you your whole life. There’s all kinds of people from around the world there that you’ll meet, with all different sizes, shapes and ages so tell her please don’t sweat the small stuff because that won’t be the issue if she give it a chance. We met some of the coolest people we’ve ever met there and we were already making plans to return for next years trip before we even left. That’s how much fun it is! I promise that you won’t regret making this trip. You only live once and, no one gets out alive, so don’t wait until your 70 and wish you would’ve tried it. But if you do wait until your 70, don’t worry, because there’s 70+yr olds that go there also so you won’t be alone and they were loving it just as much as the 20 something couples were. Going back this November and we are already counting down the days!!! So excited!!! Hope to see y’all there one day. Good luck
