I'm very happy with most of what has been added to new TTR. Love the new Sexy Pool. Yes it's deeper and bigger. I like it. Agreed that bands playing during the day at the pool, I'm not into that. It's fine for night, not during the day please. One very easy change I very much want them to bring in: the Bash hot tub. Why the hell isn't this open at night? What's the point of situating a hot tub next to the night club if it's not kept open at night!? The only reason I can think of that they won't keep it open is to prevent people traipsing wet from the tub through the lobby bar to the washrooms. That could cause a bit of a trip hazard, even though they have to deal with this kind of hazard any time it rains anyway.
They have those in Mexico, I didn't think they were necessary, I thought you were guilty until you came up with enough $$ to bribe your way out of it. T
Easy fix for the hot tub and people traipsing wet all over the floors is to make naked only, no clothes or suits, naked bodies dry quicker. T
I may still be a newbie here and don't post much, but I do read a lot of posts, that being said, all your talk about changes are good about hours and pool level and pictures been taken, but the only way ANY changes can be made is by talking to the right people within the hotel. There is more than enough people on this site that if enough of you make calls to the manager/owner about "pool hours" - "pictures taken" they will make a change. Not with one or two emails, I mean 400-500 of them.
Hot Tub closing around 7-8 has more to do with being located right outside Sutra (Habachi) that has large windows. It is nice and can be romantic dining experience so I think they do not want the hot tub shenanigans to take away from the experience. I kind of like watching all the Tom Fullery.. when I am not part of it! Real issue is ...what were they thinking when they placed it there ad part of the renovation.
It wasn’t part of the original concept drawing and video that were out. It seems like it was an afterthought, and was done without much consideration. Right below it would have been a great spot for a small bathroom, near the sexy pool. Could have had ramps on both sides of Bash, giving it more accessibility, and out if the way of the restaurant. They could have put it where the pool is, and not have made the pool so large. Many many options, but they seemed to choose the worst one, and limit the availability.
That is a very good point. And one of the reasons I started this thread was to do exactly as you suggested and forward our list of changes to people in management. Almost all of the suggestions brought to this thread cost nothing, and would make a direct impact on the guests experience. Why would they not want to implement them? There may be good reasons some can't happen, but at least we'll let them know our simple suggestions to improve the experience for all guests. And happy guests make repeat customers in any business.
Currently trying to put together an email list of people who should see the recommendations. I would like to send this to several people in management. If you send a document to one person it can be ignored. But send it to several and it as least has to be recognized, and that leads to discussion. If anyone can offer a suggestion or has an email addy, please send it over and I will include them. Thank you!
Not sure of exact depth but covers most boobies. Ladies about 5 ft tall seem to have issues. Wife is 5’3” and gets along but has to hold drink up to avoid the water. There are many posts on this. Use search feature to find more.
