Typically it is $30 for USA Transfers to stop at Walmart or the liquor store.

We find bringing liquor from home is cheaper than that option and cheaper than getting duty free at either our airport and especially Cancun airport. You can legally bring in 3 liters per traveler to Mexico.

You are going to have the time of your life! I was really excited but nervous before our first trip, so I totally understand what you're going through!

    1. You can bring alcohol, but why? You've paid for all you can drink (and more) with your reservation. No reason to BYO unless there's a specific liquor you can't live without. There's a duty free shop in the airport, so you don't have to drag it all the way to Mexico in your luggage.

    2. Go online and fill out the immigration form and print it before you go: Mexico Tourist Card You'll give it to the customs agent when you land in Mexico. Also, arrange your transfer to the hotel ahead of time (USA Transfers is awesome. There's a link in one of the stickies at the top of this forum) Once you clear customs, you'll walk down a hall full of people offering you transfers and tours. Just ignore them. They are ALL timeshare sales. All of the cabs and transfer companies are OUTSIDE.

    3. Click on our profile and go to our media, and you'll find photos of theme nights from some of our past trips. My advice is to plan layers and options. I like to start in something just a little sexier than I'd do at home, but be able to strip down to next to nothing (pasties and a thong, if you're daring) if the mood is right. (BTW, my friend wore a feather boa and regretted it--hot and itchy, and the feathers stick to sweat....)

    4. There will be a roll call for your dates. Make sure to post and get to know some of the people on here ahead of time. When you get there, you'll find that people are all eager to meet new people to party with. You'll have no trouble. Some people can be intimidated when they first arrive and see big groups clumped around the sexy pool; however, many of those groups are people who have all just met each other, and they're always welcoming to newbies. A great ice breaker is, "Hi, it's our first day here ever...." and see what happens!

Right--of course! My mind is mush at that time of day. Thanks for not slamming me with a giant "DUUUUUUUHHH! Every heard of something called 9/11????" :)
