Ok I have to ask, I consider my wife and I extremely healthy but every time we come home from TTR we have some type of respiratory virus. This time I have a wonderful sore throat and cough!!! I think I'm 4 for 4, maybe I'm just lucky!
Last time we went we got sick at the resort for 3 days. Nothing at home, though lol. Hopefully this time we don't get sick. Kinda sucks to lose 3 days
I do it any vacation not just TTR .. last time I didn't I was shocked I had taken xtra vit c all week pretty sure its the airport or plane
I wonder if you build up a tolerance thru the years. As we came home sick the first 3 or 4 times. Like respiratory infection sick. People like to say it is the alcohol, partying, etc but I like to think we know the difference at this point of our lives. Now we typically just come home exhausted and hung over and sore (sore for the right reasons )
First Cancun trip was at Golden Parnassus. I know they say the water is safe to drink, and I’m sure the ice comes from the same source, but that first year I drank water at meals, and it wasn’t bottled. I was pretty sick stomach wise for a few weeks on return home. The last three trips, I have only drank bottled water, and never had an issue. Meri has never been sick after a trip. Just tired....
We were there 4 nights and I came home with a sore throat and mild congestion, but the same thing happened at another all-inclusive that wasn't as much fun. I think the alcohol, sun, lack of sleep, and yelling over the music makes you susceptible to picking something up. Maybe if go 3+ more times I will be immune too.
