What would everyone think about the Sexy Pool shutting down at say 6:00 or 7:00 and than they can do their daily maintenance or whatever and the party moves upstairs to the Sky Bar from say 7:00 to Midnight each night? From there you can open up Bash like normal and than the hot tub is open as the after "Bash" spot (like the old sports pool).....? It seems this would keep the party going in the evening hours it would force the party into a more confined/controlled space (good and bad about that and really take advantage of what should be a "Crown Jewel" of the new-renovated TTR by showcasing the Rooftop pool bar. In the evening I suspect the water temp would be more reasonable and the party overlooking the water and the resort would be awesome! This would be awesome for the party, cheaper even for the resort as the security/staff presence would just shift around from one pool to the next and would be a great way for the resort to capitalize on their investment....
I agree with this logic. At Desire they shift the party and staff from the pool to the jacuzzi at about 5. Could do the same thing at TTR from the sexy pool to the sky bar at 5 or 6. Have a dj, apps, could utilize the jacuzzi up there, enjoy the sunset and the amazing views. And the closer quarters and the alcohol flowing I am sure would have the same effect as Desire where people socialize more and strike up conversations and shots etc. Easily avoidable if you want to do the dinner thing. But gives the diehards another option. Instead of closing at 6 keep it open until 10. Open later in the morning if you have to due to staff costs. Think it would work and allow the party to continue and make a better use of the sky bar.
Biggest complaint is the 2 to a Bash tower rule when it's more sq footage than the rooms that allow 3. Some of us want 3 people in a bed
When we were there in July, the Sexy Pool closed everyday at 7pm, ok close the bar but clear the pool ? (party ends), unlike our previous visit (Nov), the Jacuzzi was hardly used and certainly no party, that facility should be encouraged . Phone/Camara policy, there everywhere, very little action (once during our 14 day trip a sign came out oooh and JJ did mentioned it a few times). I sat one afternoon and watched an “established member” filming the pool action without any sanction, even though he was taking regular drinks from the bar and in clear shot of security….. very mixed messages, but then again , is the pool that wild now ??….
Right and if the concern is that it will split the party then close it at 10. People then head to Bash If the concern is staff costs then open later in the day. Morning people can find their peace and quiet in the morning elsewhere. If the concern is bad behavior when the sun goes down well that should be easier to watch / police in the smaller space than having the sexy pool open late. Seems like the resort is pushing the Bash rooms hard. Likely as it results in more income for them. This surely would result in more people booking Bash. AI's typically want people at the buffets instead of their higher cost restaurants and this would pull even more people out of those restaurants and free up space for those that want the nice dinners. Have just apps up there and a make shift buffet with app type stuff. To solve for the variety of music complaint change the dj up there. 80's night, EDM night, hair band night, 70's night, etc. depending on the day of the week. Would be fun. I just dont see the negative.
the entire business model based on segregating Premier and non Premier needs to change the pool is just too deep. they need to strictly enforce the NO photography rule at the pool and at bash. they need to do a better job of promoting...not restricting...a sexy party vibe (like it used to be) complete with promoting body shots etc reinstate the lingerie party like it used to be in the sports bar area with lingerie mandatory get rid of the vanilla groups and kids who gather every morning right in front of the jacuzzi rooms by the quiet pool. it is ridiculous that the allow children ON PROPERTY every morning right in front of people rooms and balconies. better, sexier, longer use of the hot tub pools open later.
Good thread. The extended rooftop bar hours would require additional security due to the likelihood some over intoxicated individual playing around the railing. I wonder if that is at the heart of them not keeping it open later and at night.
I guess it is possible but it doesn't add up to me. Frankly it has never felt like the resort is too concerned about guest safety in relation to the physical build.. Basing this off of design of the new TTR build. Plus you would really have to make a big effort to get over the barriers around the pool / party area. See in this pic. There is a pathway on the other side of the pool. Pretty difficult to get over that wall unless you are trying to jump and if that is the case cant really blame the resort. Wall is shorter on the ends but those areas are more lounge like. Would think the party would be where the dance floor, bar, stripper poles, pool and jacuzzi is. That may be true, but it is not a problem that can't be solved. It really seems such a unique space they spent a ton of money creating should be better utilized. It would possibly even help draw more guests to the resort. Nobody else can offer it.
