For Stacia, it's ice-cold Don Julio silver tequila as her main fave go-to, especially at TTR, DRM or DP. We just heard about a Don Julio blanco reserve with some year of importance in the name that is supposed to be the business, really, really awesome but I don't know the year thing. Anyone out there know so I can get her a bottle for the house bar? Tequila really does make her clothes fall off, is why I'm asking. For me, if a mixed drink, it's got to be an Old Fashioned, made by a real bourbon bar pro bartender, with a bit of style and artistry in the creation, say.. maybe mixing it up with a really different seeming bourbon, or a variant on the bitters, something like that. Something to give me a topic of discussion with the bartender. For beer, talk to me about your favorite local craft brewery, and put an amber, brown or stout ale in my hand and I'm a happy guy.
It's my favorite drink at the resort. It's a strawberry/mango margarita, with a touch of orange juice, lime juice, and Tabasco! I order mine blended. We just got back from the resort and when I ordered one, the bartender smiled and said that it is a rare drink anymore but then he made one that was just the right amount of sweet/hot. He also rimmed the glass with chili lime salt. Sooooo good!
Last trip, wife had laryngitis and the bartenders prescribed 1921 Crema de Mexico. This was excellent!
