I found myself getting all "locked up" under the pressure of ordering cocktails at the Bash bar--too many people, hard to shout instructions to bartender over the music--so I ended up just ordering vodka & soda with lime/lemon. Ends up being the right idea for that place. Cutting out the sugary mixers and brown liquor made for much milder hangovers the next morning. This year I'll bring a cocktail shaker, some bitters, and a jar of good cherries to make old fashies and Manhattans in the room pre-party.
