Jewel got fed up with the music at Bash when we were there and just took over the booth! DJ Jewel by Epic & Jewel posted Jan 28, 2018 at 9:58 AM
Considering the DJ is catering to people aged from early twenties to early seventies, from at least 3 continents, dozens of countries and from a range of ethnicities I feel he does a good job. Ok, so he may not play your favorite music, he doesn't play mine either. I wouldn't request everyone be subjected to my music, not sure why others think their musical tastes should take precedent over someone else's. Here's an idea, everyone entering Bash writes their favourite track on a piece of paper. The DJ draws them one at a time at random and plays them in that order. Then we can all listen to a jumbled mish mash of stuff we've never heard of all night, with a guarantee of our favorite being played. Seems to be what some people are asking for. Just let the guy do his job for God's sake.
Oh my Steve. I usually agree w you but we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. Sorry. Not what is being suggested at all. Just do more than hit play.
Well this is a secret If the guest make a request and the song is kind of good, popular or good beat they play in the section, cause Dj okay secrions, hip hop, Latino, rock , pop etc If is to hard to mixed and playing, then wait till 1 am he probably play the song If , and this is something that we use to do, if someone came ask for one song and Dj play, careful cause Dj is watching you, if you dance with your song that's good your welcome to ask more, but if not and is just cause you want to heart it, well use a mp3 player jajajajajajajahhaha and trusth me happen a lot, one way or other try to make happy 500 people or more is complicated
Here we go again the never ending debate of “I only want the music that I want to hear “ debate ...... let it go FFS and let the DJs do there job ,they have to cater to everyone not just the endless EDM (techno) garbage crowd .
Ok I will respond directly then. No one said they only want to hear the music that they want to hear. Numerous times variety was referenced. Either you are not paying attention or just want to be inflammatory. If the dj’s did their job there wouldn’t be so many complaints, they would be better at reading the crowd and they wouldn’t just hit play. Also you say they have to cater to everyone but are they really catering to everyone when they play the same songs every night with limited variety? And last of all it is extremely hypocritical to then attack others and call them a ‘garbage crowd’ because of the music they like or even something people like (if you are referencing the music) as garbage. Think about the topic and others opinions before you spout off and go on the offensive. What makes TTR great and cancuncare great is we are all different and diverse and have different opinions and different tastes. You would think as such a TTR fan you would better embrace what it represents but instead there is a theme with your posts. Not just this one. So yeah not a fan so the dislike. Sure you still don’t care but my 2 cents is I wish you would think before posting because clearly you don’t do much thinking.
