Yep, sorry but that issue is true, thats one of the minor reasons cause I move to premiere, now is something funny to, cause when I was kind of on charge at night I push the Dj to play other kind of music, he listen cause is my friend, but that 2 weeks of test, people wasn't active, wasn't doing party and wasn't dancing, and they came to ask for the same shitty music, pitbull fireball, fucking despacito, lmfao shot party rock sexy and I know it and crazy bitch, and I can go on and on, and the same and same, most of crowd don't like to try new music, or different like socca, trap, dubstep, EDM like marshmello slushie ghtta bloody bedrots, no hip hop no gambino no minag, even rock if is not the same son like thunder kiss look like imagine dragon linking park is not welcome and this is just for say a few names, I really try to put new music but crowd don't liked, even I try Spotify top 100 viral and popular on USA but the same
The Dj's at Skybar were awesome and played Edm every day we were there. Bash was good 1 out of 6 nights. Sweet Caroline 3x on glow night? Wtf lol. Glow night is promoted as a rave and should be

I mean every time it or party rock is played my wife stopped dancing, stopped sexy time and was like wtf give me a break. Sucks that the variety didn’t stick. We went for a rave night in November where the dj was clearly experimenting and the crowd loved it. But every other night same shit. And in April even the rave night was the same pitbull, etc I think Spotify top 100 is a great idea. Don’t get why it can’t be a combo. Play pitbull once and crazy bitch once to keep the mainstream folks happy but also play a set that is different every night. Oh well. Thanks for trying. I would of gone mad having to listen to that same stuff EVERY night.
I agree. The female dj was playing some amazing deep house and dubstep. I was in heaven up there when she was the dj.
I think, making this simple, it comes down to variety. I can deal w pitbull, despacito, crazy bitch, etc once. But then play something from Spotify 100, or a dubstep or deep house song or even god forbid country, I don’t care as long as it is variety and people party. Part of the art of being a dj. Tell your friend he can make the mainstream people happy AND get creative with some variety. Isn’t one or the other type of thing in my opinion
Pedro, thanks for giving some insight. Can't really say I am all that surprised. As much as half of us bitch that it's the same "Top Temptation 40" music on repeat, there is a whole other half of the crowd that puts in requests for all those songs. I even find this happens at my house. I have people over most Friday and Saturday nights, but it's always a shifting of people night to night and week to week. Being the host I am constantly bombarded with the same popular songs requests night after night. It's like: Yes you might not have heard that since a month ago when you were over last time, and I preformed it, but we literally played it last night, and the night before, of and the night before that. Gets old...and drunk people don't understand.
I had tried to request "Pon de Replay" by Rihanna and the Bash DJ said he had never heard of it. It's RIHANNA!! I was also sick of hearing "Blurred Lines", "Shake That" and Pitbull (and I usually love Pitbull when I'm home) - So since he didn't have my Rihanna song, I requested "Dura" by Daddy Yankee and he had that.
