By all reports, the new Tower rooms are pretty nice, but you do have to deal with lots of steps or the elevator every time you want to go up/down. We usually like the Jacuzzi Rooms the best, since we stay on the ground floor most times, it's easy out to the pool area, Way fewer obstacles to get to/from the room, and it's a bit further away from Bash at night just in case some sleep becomes "required." We like having jacuzzi time after Bash-time, too, so that's a thing.
I would be shocked if we ever paid for an upgrade... maybe for a special birthday celebration but I’m a garden view girl because we are never in the room. I would never turn down a free upgrade though I do find the bathrooms to be extremely small and very little storage so two sinks and a separate toilet area are a win in my books. FWIW I don’t really rave about the rooftop access. I spent an hour up there one day just to have lunch and so that I can say I was up there. I did not go in any water and I didn’t even look over the sides. Some people like to chill and that is a great location for that type of couple...not my scene. Yeah, the bathrooms are small in the jacuzzi rooms. Except for the showers, they are fricking huge. Talk about a waste of space. Could have easily made the counter a double sink.
Or a double shower. At least in the room we were in...a double shower would've been awesome in there. If they would've moved the shower head and just had the one there wouldn't be as much water on the floor.
Old TTR had one section prior tot he reno that had a bunch of rooms with a double shower, complete with two rainfall showerheads, which WAS really cooltime/funtime if you and your other half, or other 2/3 want to do the communal shower thing. We like that. The Jacuzazi rooms have only the single shower head, but the space itself is pretty roomy.
I'm pretty sure all the Lush rooms are booked for that timeframe. The TTR website has them listed as "Wait List Only". This will be our first trip back since renovation so we splurged for a Lush Tower room to check it out, but in the past we've always gone with a cheap room close to the party. The best thing about the place is the people, so you'll be in good shape Halloween week no matter what room choice you go with! I break it down as such: If you are a member- I'd save the money and stay in the plush Jacuzzi rooms. Non-member- go for the Tower for the extra perks.
