The open door policy leaves a lot to be determined by the host couple already, but it is almost certainly more likely to be successful if you come in as a couple, and by that I don't mean two out of the 6 guys from a bachelor party. If I were you, I would take the safe route and meet others at the sexy pool first and wait to be invited back later.
