Thanks everyone for the replies, I appreciate the help.

For a little extra savings if anyone else is going to purchase the Groupon deal I recommend signing up for Groupon Select. Right now your first 6 months is $25 total($5/month with 1st month free) + you get a $5 Starbucks GC. You can cancel anytime. It gives you an additional 10% savings on Getaways with no limit on the savings (Traditional Getaways discounts they run every now and then cap the discount at $50.) So even if you don't use Groupon it's well worth it just for one trip.
Example of a 5 night stay with the Ocean-View Bash Tower room

    Subtotal$1,302.70
    Taxes and Fees $286.59
    Groupon Select - 10% Off-$130.27
    Promo or Gift Code
    Order Total:$1,459.02

The prices look good. For us a Garden View room is perfectly acceptable. We don't really spend much time there, so as long as it is clean and not so far away it feels like we're staying at the next resort we're O.K. with it. If you get to to the room and really hate it, just asked to be moved. We prefer the middle building between the two pools. You'll never be far from the action there.

As for the pool games, there is entertainment during the day and contests/ games, but the biggest games at TTR are:
A: People watching. You'll never find a better place for people watching than at the Sexy Pool.
B: Making new friends. This goes hand in hand with the people watching, and it's an incredibly friendly crowd. It's very easy to meet new friends here, so never be shy about saying hello to anybody and everybody. You'll love it!
C: Seeing what you can get away with... This is an especially popular activity with the TTR crowd, and it ranges from everything from the skimpiest, most revealing swimsuits possible, to an underwater, poolside groping (usually of the one they came with or a special friend), and possibly a little more by the real pros. The Seeing What You Can Get Away With game is a beloved, long standing tradition with the TTR guests, and is well played by both the guests and the staff, with no harm done by either side. It's all in good fun.

You'll have a great time at TTR. Let the games begin!

Thanks! That's good to know. Just curious what you think would be a good price per night to upgrade to a Lush or Master suite. We really like to have a jacuzzi.

My trip report from april has some info on this...
Jen & Kyle April 2018 Trip Report

But specifically your situation going from Bash to Lush or Master...
what stinks is they will know what you paid and likely say well you paid xyz and normally a lush room costs this so your cost is the difference per night. Which is ridiculous. Your counter needs to be well I am willing to offer $25 a night to Lush
(and maybe be willing to go to $50) or $200 a night to Master as normally that is the difference between those levels of rooms. Master is usually a little more than that per night but that is what I would start with and maybe go to $250. I know, it sounds like a lot but the Masters are pretty awesome.

Also, for those dates, Spicy is looking for a roommie Sept. 1-10, for only up to $150 a night (the more nights the cheaper). It's oceanview and member benefits and doesn't require sales presentation.

On the flip side, also, looking to stay in somone else's room Oct 28 - around Nov 2
