OK so let me start this off with saying that I hate to be creating a thread that causes the same repeat discussions surrounding dress code, pants/shorts, hats, fip-flops, etc. And I meant to post this after my trip at the end off May, but I have been crazy busy at work and haven't had much CCC time. For the ladies, and maybe this just happened to people I met during our time period, but many days at Amores/Margaritas (the Mexican place), the girls were refused entry and told "You have to put shorts on". My wife was wearing: a top, bottoms (thong sometimes, or other small cut bottoms that are not a thong), and a coverup (usually netting, or sheer). Other girls were wearing similar and also were told the same thing. They were basically saying that the coverup had to cover your butt, and buttcheek exposure isn't permitted. The coverup didn't go all the way down past her cheeks, but was longer than at the waist. Note: this was not consistent, and varied from day to day. The morning we went to Sea Flirt I asked some waiters I know what the rules were in comparison to the past. (We actually didn't even wear bathing suits to Sea Flirt just to be safe). But anyway the waiters said the outfit described above that Elyse was wearing would have been fine for breakfast at Sea Flirt and should have been fine for everyplace all day, except dinner. They said many of the hostesses are new and confused and say no just to be safe. They were going to bring this up to management for me. Hopefully this gets straitened out, cause having to "put shorts on" for lunch, didn't appeal to many of the members of our group. And I am completely confident in saying they weren't dressed overly revealing, and weren't like drunken hot messes either.
I think the problem is the many shades of gray. It starts with what you described and ends with the guy walking the buffet without shirt or shoes on. The line has to be drawn somewhere. On a side note, I’ve been told that the cover up you described was not enough coverage on more than one day pre-renovation.
I agree a line is necessary. I guess maybe I am not describing the bathing suit and cover-up correctly. A bathing suit like this, with this coverup is not OK for lunch? (the backside of these bottoms are Brazilian cut and not even a thong). Never had a problem in 6 trips (pre and post reno) until this trip.
Hahaha, not saying a tee shirt, at least 5 inches past her waist, with 2 maybe 2-3 inches the bottom butt visible.
We interrupt this T-shirt cover-up discussion to bring you the following smart-ass comment. If all the talk about Amores/Margaritas wasn't enough to make a guy hungry you had to go and post that photo. Yummy. OK, carry on as you were.
IOO.......Some ladies can get by in almost nothing..................others need more cover! Not intended to be mean spirited, but a clear observation we've made in more than a dozen trips!
