As hot as it is anywhere on the resort! But it is a little closer to the Sun...lol! Actually there was usually a nice breeze blowing when we visited in April (went up 4 days).
We were there in February. Closed one day (think it was Monday), totally hopping another day. The pool and hot tubs were packed, there was music, a DJ, pole dancers, food. I think there was a big Facebook group that day ("no bra club"?) Gorgeous views; wish I had more pics, but here's one:
I love the Sky Bar. Only visited twice last time we were at TTR when it had just opened (once for an afternoon, second time to grab lunch before our flight home), but damn that bar is cool. The view alone sells it for me. You can see for miles. I could happily sit in that jacuzzi for hours watching the views over Cancun and Isla. The view, the pool, the drinks, the food, the service, the toilets being 'right there'. The time I spent up in the Sky Bar was bliss. I do like the new sexy pool too, but I guess I'm more reserved than the average TTR traveller. I have to be drunk to truly enjoy the sexy pool craziness, otherwise it's a bit overwhelming for me. The Sky Bar is a happy medium between the sexy pool and the quiet pool. It wasn't as crazy as the sexy pool (when I was there) but was more lively and enjoyable than the quiet pool. I felt like I could get loud at the Sky Bar without disturbing others (as has happened at the quiet pool before now oops), but the atmosphere was more reserved than the party down at the sexy pool.
