Ok, the wife and I are first timers and will be there June 15-24. We cannot wait!! Need help with following: Packing- Besides pool suits and theme night stuff what else do we / should we pack clothing wise? Do we need special clothes for dinners? Just need to know so I can go buy things special if need be. Theme nights: She has a few things but not a lot. I have the white clothes night. I was thinking about my Scottish Kilt and suspenders for nerd night? Thoughts? Just really looking to meet people before we go so we can all meet up and looking for Tips, Pointers, Etc... Want this one to memorable as we want to keep coming back each year! PM me if you would like. Thanks!!!
Swimsuits for the day, dinner dresses for the evening and theme wear for the night...., oh and maybe gym clothes if you want Kilt and suspenders would be awesome for nerd night .
For theme nights, do we have to wear the themed outfit(s)? Meaning we have to go out an buy everything if we do....
Nope. You can just come out. Probably 50-60% percent of ladies are dressed for the themes but id say like 30-40% of men. Just have fun it's no big deal!
Atleast that was our experience on our only other trip. Some the veterans and more frequent guests might have different opinions
You may want to bring some slacks for dinner with a nice shirt or two. You don’t have to dress up for theme nights but it is fun. The most IMPORTANT things to bring is an open mind, your favorite hangover cure, and a boogie down attitude. I would say start strengthening your liver but not sure there’s enough time. Of course a little Fireball never hurt nobody.
Most people don't put on theme wear until after dinner when they're heading to Bash. Anything goes for dinner. Some people go casual with just shorts and t-shirts to the buffet, but some of the other restaurants require long pants and closed-toed shoes. The ladies will wear anything from shorts and a nice top to a really sexy dress depending on their mood that evening. You absolutely do not need to be in theme wear any evening. The most popular theme nights are white night and lingerie night, so those are the ones I would shop for first.
You will have a blast. There are no expectations for or requirements for themes or dinner outfits. However, my wife spends a lot of time getting herself ready and dressed for dinner. She will look top notch every night. There is no way in Hell I would arrive in shorts, T-shirt and sandals after she does so much.
