Yeah, but as mentioned, I think the Lobby Bar largely fulfills that niche now. Perhaps they should have kept it open until 9 or something until last dinner sitting, but I'd bet all the bartenders loathe working there if it was largely empty or occupied with people having one drink before leaving to eat. Tips would likely be poor.
As I detailed back in January.....there is no need for quiet pool bar now. The only reason it was open pre-reno, was for bar service to Bella Vista. Now She has a bar inside the restaurant as do all the restaurants now so no reason to have the bikini Bar open. And as mentioned Italian has a bar with stools to sit at, while waiting for a table. Alex is glad to have you sit and enjoy a pre-dinner drink there.
Off topic, but sort of on topic. Our room was right next to the quiet pool bar. Even with a premier wrist band we got slow service, so found it very easy to use our bathroom instead of the public ones and get a drink at the quiet pool bar. It was much quicker most of the time.
Our first night after an overnight flight ended at the quiet pool bar with alot of fun and many blanks. Always met there before dinner.our first time, it was where we went. WTF. Something always unexpected happens there. Very disappointed
After hearing everything on here, and understanding changes were put in place to make this not necessary. Then really only my #1 point applies. I liked it cause you could still drink, post sexy pool/premier bar with your shirt off, and you didn't have to go get dressed for dinner yet(and you can't really do this at the lobby bar). Plus it didn't have to be a "come back to my room to party before nighttime" thing either, cause that can be taken as something entirely different. Maybe this is just the signal to stop my day, without over-doing it, and move onto the night...which I am terrible at
Ha. Those come back to the room parties are dangerous. I recall when we were naive. Invited to one of those parties our first visit in 2010. Walk in and wow deer in the headlights. Wait. Why is Jim f’ing mikes wife Cathy? What is Jim’s wife doing with Chris and Tom? Lol. One of those holy shit moments where you try to act cool. Say hello and then slowly back out while waving and thinking oh so that it what it means when you are invited to a room jacuzzi party after the sexy pool
