Quiet Pool Bar closing at 7...SUCKS

OK, so this wasn't really new news coming into my last trip, because I had learned on the forum that this happened, but closing the quiet pool bar blows, IMO. I know many of us don't use the quiet pool (except for a little recovery time), but I always found the quiet pool bar a great resource.

It severed multiple purposes:

1. When the sexy pool closed, and you didn't feel like getting change/dressed, you could head over there for a few more drinks.
2. If you were on the quiet pool side, and hanging in the room, a short walk and you could bring back a round or two.
3. If you were meeting friends for dinner on that side it was a great meeting spot. This way some if the people were a little later (or early, hahaha yeah right) you were at least hanging at the bar and it wasn't like you were holding people up. Cause you know "hey can't be that bad, you know they are just at the bar doing shots".
4. If you don't want to go see a show, you could just hang here for the beginning part of the night.

Now with it closing at 7, all those options are gone. They are basically herding you strait into bash/lobby bar, which frankly might just be a little too bright to start the night off in. It also doesn't make your night feel like multiple parts. Meaning: now post dinner (and into the themes), you are heading back right to where you started off.

I just don't like that this was removed. And it seems like not that big a deal to keep open till 10-11pm, and it would allow for more options. I know it "spreads the party around", but sometimes a quieter evening, or not getting dressed at 6:30pm, is what people are looking for.

 

We wanted to sit at the quiet pool bar and have a drink while waiting for the Italian restaurant to have a table ready for us & they had said it would be 30 mins, but no luck - that sucks !

 

Note that they do now have a bar to sit at while waiting for a table IN the Italian restaurant. A good place to meet if you are doing dinner there.

And of course with She restaurant right next to the quiet bar there is no one to meet since it is couples only.

But yeah I agree, I still wish the quiet pool bar was open later

 

I didn't think of, nor realize, either of those things. Guess that does make a bit more logical sense as to how they can justify closing it. Still stupid though.

 

We didn't even make it over the the quiet pool bar when we were there...but that was always our "meeting place" for getting together with couples for dinner. Sucks that they close it early now - we always enjoyed that spot.

 

I agree. We met there for a room crawl and we were very sad when it was all dark and closed down.

 

Looking forward to our first trip in March 2019. However, it sounds like most places people enjoyed are now closing earlier... is there an explanation to this? Hot tub closes at 7pm, Quiet Bar as well... seems strange for a resort like Temptation to shut down fun/chill spots so early...

 

I miss it as well....great place to have a day cap after premier bar closes.....and sit there like a tread as all the early bird dinner folks stroll by.
Quiet and dim to nurse a slow black Russian and try to sober up before cleaning up for dinner and Bash.
Now only option is Bash....and not relaxing at 6:30 or 7:00.
Feel like a tread.

As part of the renovation TTR is attempting to become a retirement community where management wants to roll up the sidewalks by 8pm.
