We just got back. The Sky Bar is a beautiful place with so much potential, but as dead as a skunk in the middle of the road!!! They already have the Quiet Pool, now they also have the Dead Quiet Pool. It closes at 6pm. If it closed at 6am, it might have some life!
I love this idea in theory and I’ve thought about it myself... but I don’t understand why we would want to take the party away from the sexy pool? The space is amazing. It would even be a better nighttime party replacement instead of bash (they would need to move furniture etc). It has so much potential but the daytime party is and will always be at the sexy pool. Sky Bar was cool!! The view and the Hot Tub is awesome. I wouldn't spend the whole day up there but worth checking out for a few, The foods great up there and if you get a good group together it could be a cool ass party spot.
We were there over Valentines Day and had a huge party at Sky Bar. Probably close to 100 people. The resort did an amazing job staffing it for us that day. We have been twice since the opening and are going back June 30 to July 7. We have had a tower room both times and have one booked for our next trip. We think it was worth the cost.
In the last 8 weeks they have been hosting a members and Referrals dinner up there in the early evening one night a week. In March we went to a private party for family and local Cancun friends and guests for aan afternoon party It was swanky and the menu was entirely different. Outstanding food at that party. The Sky Bar is just begging for a transfusion of thoughtful energy and implementation to make it the "coolest place to be" in Cancun
We were there last October, and I don't think it was open yet. Headed back this October. Did I read Premier Members get free access, regardless if you are in the Tower or not? Also, is it at the very top of the Tower?
Premier members and people staying in Tower rooms are free, everyone else $20pp. Yes, it's on the roof of the tower. I still haven't been there yet, must check it out some day!
Just because it is new and different I suppose. And if I paying all that money for a suite might as well try and enjoy it. Plus a bunch of hot almost naked couples could have great benifits
