Hi all! I'm considering booking a trip to TTR in the July timeframe - single and traveling solo, so there's a bit of trepidation. From all indications though I shouldn't be worried. I'd probably go for a week. maybe a day or two less. Some questions: 1. Is it best to book weekend to weekend (i.e. Saturday to Saturday) or is it better to do like Wednesday to Wednesday? (Flight cost might be the ultimate arbiter here.) 2. As a solo guy - recommendations on rooms? Since I don't plan to spend a lot of time there, I don't need anything fancy, a great view or anything - would prefer at least a queen bed though. 3. Best service to book through? I've used CheapCaribbean and BookIt.com before. 4. How does one get involved in a room crawl? Sounds like a nice way to meet some folks. 5. Guess it goes without saying I should book a Boob Cruise 6. You may want to try a 5 day trip being your first time (in case you don't like it). Weds through Sunday. I would say a trendy garden view for the room. I have used cheap caribbean and expedia and also referal. Hotelscombined gives the best room rate from what I have seen but you cant book your flight through there. caribbean and expedia charge a little more per room but the flight gets figured into the room. Do some shopping around and if you can use miles for the flight I would say go through hotelscombined. You can sign up for room calls on this forum. Since you are going single if you plan on joining, maybe bring a bottle or shots along with. Yes Boobs Cruise as soon as you can. If you plan on doing a week I would say get in on Sunday and do the Monday cruise. Great way to meet people. There is normally single women there so be friendly and introduce yourself. Don't over drink. There is a good post renovation review by Nanners in this forum, and then if you go back one page from here in the reviews section there are a few more single guy reviews. Once you find dates that work for you put yourself on the singles role call and also the month of visit role call. Try to get a picture of yourself on here by then and then try introducing yourself to people that will be there the same days as you. Be respectful, friendly and fun and don't get too drunk. 'guts to take the plunge'? serious question...what do you think this place is? I think you're seriously over analyzing this or misunderstanding what Temptation is. It's mostly just a hotel with a beach, a pool and bars. As a single guy the only real difference from a regular hotel will be that the scenery includes boobs. now, as a single, perhaps going on the Boobs Cruise might entail a little bit of 'take the plunge' mental preparation but no gut check required for the hotel. It's a hotel. One thing you gotta understand about TTR going in... as a single guy the odds are high that you will not hook up with anyone. I'm not saying its impossible BUT in reality you'd probably have lower odds at Temptation that just a regular hotel. There probably will not be very many single women and in spite of what it may appear from some of us these boards the majority of the people are not swingers and there really won't be many couples at all looking for single guys. not trying to rain on your parade but i think maybe you are thinking the experience will be different than it actually will be.
Dude, I have no expectations about hooking up, and I'm not into the lifestyle. But I do like to meet people, and my only concern was if it would be difficult as a single.
Oh *snif*.. this brings a tear to my eye. No but seriously. It's mostly good clean fun. I met up with someone I met at TRT this week and we're talking about our next trip. I thought I could wait until November-ish but it appears less probable I can resist that long.
yeah, try Halloween-ish into November! would like to meet you as i may need a good litigator someday...hopefully while not in a Mexican jail cell!
