My doctor recommended I use BioCorneum + Scar Gel and then an additional layer of high SPF sunscreen. I did this for my tummy tuck scar and breast scar and they are all barely visible.
My tummy tuck was further out (9 months) my breast were 4 months out. I used this stuff every day 3 times a day on my scars and when i went out in the sun and had the scars visible i put this plus the sunscreen. It is very expensive but well worth it. You can't even see my scars anymore they are so faint.
I too have the same type scars (but 10+ years old). Search for this bikini on Yandy - BLACK CUT-OUT bikini - Cut out micro string bikini. I bought it when we went in November and got tons of compliments on the top... AND! It covers the scar lines perfectly (there isn't much string, but it does cover).
Sort of the same topic so I guess I’m not hijacking the thread. Since were talking about scars I have another question. After a lot of exercise my wife had to face the fact that thanks to the kids she wasn’t getting her flat stomach back. Although she is in good shape she had to see the good doctor to have her abdominal muscles fixed. Her incision has healed well but it still looks real red. She is kind of hung up on the ascetics of wearing a little string bikini with a big red line right above it, kind of ruins the ascetics. My solution is a smaller bathing suit. I’m confident that would solve the problem, but so far she hasn’t bought that. We will see after some fire ball and encouragement if she changes her mind (I will be prepared). I’m wondering if anyone has used any products to help with the redness. I know it will fade over time but the sooner the better.
