Did you adjust your watch? Cancun is different timezone than western NY. Hot tub is closed at 7pm sharp. Mandated by security.
Official showtime is 10pm each night. Hot tub and all pools are closed at 7pm. However, quiet pool is not monitored so you can linger there. 7 till 10 is free for dinner, shower, nap, sex, whatever you choose. You won't miss anything during that window, if it really matters.
That might explain a lot!!! We went off the phones though...lots of confusion on times everywhere (Sky bar, pools, ETC. ) everyone had different answers and times were enforced different each night.

We ended up having to leave two days early, we had something back home we had to take care of. Planning next trip now.
Bummer dude. So you had to leave the HT 2 days early and not at 7pm sharp!!! Seriously I hope all is ok at home. WRT timezones...the only thing that saves us is we are on the same zone at home!
