Maybe for a day . 1 day for sure It,s like the hang over pool . The views are nice , but security will monitor you picture taking. BTW , the service sucked big time , half of us did not get our lunch orders , and some never got drinks . The girl had maybe 12 people to take of . Those that got food , it was very good . Lulu rocked at the bar,, see ms like the old staff is anchoring the resort with good service .
From what i read i think its about $20 ($40 a couple) to have access to the rooftop bar. So, if getting a bash room to have access is the main reason i would maybe consider just spending the $40 on the days you wanna go. I am guessing a tower room is more than an extra $40 per night, but could be wrong. That being said i am not sure how much better the bash rooms are than the other rooms in general so that may be worth it too. Just some food for thought. Havent been since the renos so we definately arnt experts.
We haven’t stayed in the tower yet, but I have heard the bash rooms are quiet, the glass is soundproof. We have stayed in the ocean view rooms overlooking the sexy pool, and if you want quiet nights, AVOID these rooms. The Bash music shoots directly to you room. Luckily I can sleep through anything.
Re the original questions on losing sleep worth it due to the advantages of roof top access... We found the tower rooms to not be as noisy as rooms near the old paty o’s. The one night we did go to bed while the dj was still playing yes we could hear the music but it didn’t keep us up. Sky bar has great food. Loved sneaking up there for a break and bite View is amazing and has some nice loungy spots Hotter jacuzzi than the main one near bash We loved the music and scene but sadly was never busy enough to make it a party spot In conclusion, yes, highly recommend a bash tower room
My 2 cents...or even less...pesos... If Premier it is free. As others have said. Bash rooms nice...and quiet. Worth at least 1 stay to experience stay yourselves and to judge. We did now back to garden view rooms. But may stay again, maybe master suite. Unlike @Donald, we went 4 times and service was slow, yes, but we got everything and food and drinks were geeat. Wrt service. we are from the Balt/DC area originally, so think busy East Coast, but not like NYC or Boston busy. So abot 11 years ago we moved to San Antonio, TX...holy shit Batman...dining was an experience. Wait for seating, wait for menus, wait for water, wait...well you get the idea. So slow is relative. SA has gotten much better. But in MX we have noticed it a bit slower then are used to. If course it depends on how busy things are. I believe the issue with the Sky Bar is the kitchen and not the waitresses. Who knows what isgoung in behind those door? Ad I wrote before, waitresses spend lots of time in kitchen. Be sure they understand your order and point at the menu. For drinks. we experienced obly 1 bartender at a time and if 30-50 people ordering drinks at bar or thru waitresses he was too busy. Therefore, half way thru our drinks we ordered another or went to bar and ordered ourselves.
Honesty, it was 100% worth it for us. We ate lunch up there everyday. We’d get up to the roof top with a group of 8 at about 3pm, ask the staff to bring out virtually everything on the menu with a stack of shots, party in the hot tub while we waited, they’d keep bringing food and drinks to a table near by, we’d get out and eat, get back in, and the party never stopped. In the old days we’d have to get out of the pool/stop socializing, dry off, get dressed, go to margaritas for lunch, order, wait for the food to come out, sober up, and then go back to the pool. It was a buzz kill. Not to mention the food is awesome up there!.. Best lunch and view at the resort hands down. It was without question, the best upgrade of the new resort for us.
Well at the old TTR, the staff would be nice enough to bring you food out to the sexy pool. I'm pretty sure they weren't required to or maybe even supposed to--but they did. Didn't try it when we went after the reno, but if they are trying to get you to that rooftop I guess they wont do it anymore.
