Anyone else here exchange through RCI for their stay at Temptation??

Search was no help. Anyone else here exchange through RCI? If so, what has your experience been with room upgrades?

 

We’ve used RCI for all our trips to TTR except our one visit since remodel. They always gave us a nice upgraded room with ocean view. Now with our second trip coming mid June we booked with the cyber sale. Sooo we are also interested in the block of rooms set aside for RCI.

 

Thanks for the feedback! Our first stay was on exchange through RCI and we were provided an ocean view as well. We weren't sure if that was standard or not. Was also wondering if there was any flexibility to upgrade or what have you.

One thing I don't recall happening on our first trip was paying a mandatory $40 shuttle fee for the resort to pick us up from the airport. Have you all experienced this? I believe we used USA Transfers last time and weren't aware the resort had any shuttle service.

 

We were curious about using our rci to go, but I was too worried we would get a bad deal and chose to book through a website. The price was about the same. Glad to hear you got decent rooms though. Hoping to do some research while we are there.

Really? The price was comparable? With the transfer fee and then the nightly all inclusive, the RCI exchange was still substantially lower for us than booking through any of the sites we checked.

 

When exchanging through RCI they always paid one way airport transfer also. We never really had any flexibility with room options. Although, we were able to change rooms within their block if available.

 

So the one way transfer is new for us. Was it a transfer to or from the airport that they provided?
