Our experience has been the latest we have had was 1pm. But the decision is based on if they already have the room booked and someone coming in at 3pm and/or how many others are checking out and to have time for housekeeping to turn the room over. The bellboys will hold your luggage as long as needed in a secure area. If you need to get to it you can by showing your ticket.
We used the spa no charge on our last visit in October. Did this routinely before the reopening. Have folks since then been turned away?
Just left yesterday at 2:15. We didn’t want to be sticky from sunscreen so we waited until 11 to checkout and by the time we finished the paperwork and got coffee it was already noon. We the. hung out under the shaded area of the bar for a bit. By the time we had a nice lunch it was time to go. Put pants on instead of shorts but no need to shower as we just didn’t get in the pool or put on sunscreen. Also USA Transfers will pick you up closer to 3 hours ahead so if your flight is at 4 the pickup will be closer to 1.
we always set the pick up for 2 hours before flight time...thats plenty of time at Cancun airport if you are on a major scheduled airline....there is no reason at all to do 3 hours....we have a 4:50 flight and will likely tell USA Transfers to pick us up at 2:50 or 3:00. ( i do have elite status on Delta that saves me some line time...but still anyone should tell USA Transfers to pick you up at absolute max 2.5 hours before flight)
100% agree. Time to spare with 2 hours. And if you really want to be fast, there are dudes in blue button down shirts that look offical and try to help you. If you throw them like $30 bucks your passes are printed and your bags are on the belt in 10 minutes completely bypassing every line. Only incentive now though we have is going to the airport early is the Guy Fieri restaurant in the terminal. That place is awesome (and I never thought I would ever f-ing say this about some celeb restaurant, especially Guy Fieri)
