Can anyone who has been to TTR before give us some insight into pool layout in regards to sun or shade? I have been to some resorts in the past where one entire end of the pool was shaded pretty much all day and that was our cup of tea only near the end of the trip when were were pretty well cooked by the sun. Is there a preferred location for being in the shade or in the sun? It looks like there is the jacuzzi at one end of the pool and sea flirt at the other end when I take a look at the map.
There is no actual jacuzzi in the pool, just some fun holes. Areas to sit and chill. The shade throughout the day varies, but there is a section of pool always shaded by the end closest to the seafood restaurant that shifts as the sun moves. And as the afternoon comes, you get shade from the tower as well. But most of the pool is in the sun throughout the day.
But there are plenty of umbrellas. I agree sit on the side near the buffet = more shade as later in the day blocked by the buildings. We like to sit on the other side of the pool, beach side, because it means more sun.
In the plan view map it is deceiving, but the jacuzzi shown is actually up on the same level as Bash looking down over the pool.
If you sit towards the end where Building I is you will lose the Sun sooner than the rest of the pool. The building blocks it from the end the soonest.
I think the area shaded in red is your best bet for the most sun, and away from the loud speakers. It’s where we camped most every day.
That red area was where we always lost the sun the earliest in the day and would wade down towards the bar. It was best location though up until like 230/3 when we were there
On the "bright" side....all that moving around chasing the sun will give opportunity to meet and greet with new peeps and make more friends!
