do many people hang out at sky bar in the afternoon? Are there lounge chairs around the swimming pool? Is topless allowed around the bar there
We went up there for about 30 minutes one afternoon. It was very windy, even to the point of being chilly and it was pretty dead compared to the sexy pool so we went back to the fun place.
I am thinking it might be fun to head there for lunch one day for a different scene but yeah agreed with the comments above
It is nice, and great views. Seems like something they didn’t plan on, can’t inagine the elevator wait times if it was busy.
In Feb the No Bra Club had a party up there one afternoon. It was fun up there with lots of people. We paid the 20 to go up for that. But unless you are having a party up there not worth the money.
Since free for Premier yes. Very chilled atmosphere on Sunday. No vibe. If having to pay great for skyline photos of Cancun. Food good but limited. Very LOUD EDM music blaring away constantly. Hard to carry on conversation at and around bar. Lots of places to layout with table/umbrellas.
Sean and I are thinking that the Sky Bar might be our afternoon escape if we need a break from the Sexy Pool for a little bubble time (we are still pretty much newlyweds, or act like it anyway). And we are def going to try lunch there, as lots of people have posted that the food is great. We may also hit it when it opens at 11 am for a mimosa while enjoying the view. We booked a garden room, so we certainly aren't going to appreciate any kind of view from our balcony/patio...may even be a parking lot vista. In restrospect, after reading posts since we booked in December, I regret not booking the Tower. At that time, I was reading posts that it was too noisy to sleep at night in the Tower rooms, due to Bash. Later posts seems to indicate that is not necessarily true. Oh well, next time.
Ask for an upgrade at checkin but be prepared to paynegotiate. You are correct about the chill time...nice. If only they would turn down the damn EDM music blaring away.
