My wife also 5’. We are here now and the pool depth isnt that big of a deal. Many steps to sit on or she just get up on her tiptoes. Most floats we have seen are just for play not really to assist in the depth.
It's deep. I'm 5'1" and definitely needed to be on the tips of my toes and barely touching then to keep my chin above water. Made me sad because I would've been in the pool more if it wasn't so deep. But we would sit on the steps or in the little tubs along the edge a lot.
