I had the same problem last week when I made a shortcut link icon for my phone home screen for easy access. So I tried deleting the shortcut and just log on through Google and no more ads.
    I don't know but it workedo_O

Not sure where this is coming from, but can categorically state it's nothing that is installed consciously on this site and it's coming up clean in malware scans.

Just means the site has http rather than https as a prefix. Doesn't really need https since it's not taking payments or sensitive data.

But I'll probably switch to https at sometime, just to get rid of the alerts.

If there was a way to get rid of pop-ups, and life/car insurance salesman calling my cellphone, my life would be less aggravating.

Ok Steve. Won’t concern myself with it then. Had never seen that before.

I was having the pop up problem on this site and one or two other sites. Most frequent on this site and oddly it seemed to happen on a very few threads - but when it happened on a particular thread it would happen over and over again. It clearly had nothing to with Steve or the site as it did happen on other sites too.

I downloaded the free version of adbye from the Apple app store. I had to tweak the "safari blocker" in the app to set both "block ads" and " block web pop-ups" to get the pop ups to stop. Once I did that I have not seen the pop up on here or any other site. I hope that works for everyone as those pop-ups are a real annoyance.
