Started getting a YouTube and Walmart popup ad every time I log in now. Started about a week ago. Only pops up on this site. Guess I need to install a ad blocker.
I should have said, a better ad blocker. I have one but apparently it's not effective on this site for some reason.
There was another post about this a couple of weeks back. Steve stated that there aren't any popups programs for this site. Weird that you are only getting it when you hittin here, but it is most likely something else that is secretly installed on your machine.
It's on my phone and I don't install unneeded apps. I'm sure it's not legit associated with this site. I suppose it's a flash popup that has attached itself to my browser based on a site I visit the most. I don't get it on any other site but this, and never get it on my desktop.
If Version had their way, they would just tell you your phone is garbage and to get a new one. Good luck finding a scrubber and better ad blocker
I get pop up crap all the time on my iPad. Usually after I click on a Facebook or Yahoo link that says “sponsored.” Then I have to delete my history or it will keep coming back. I have to double check yahoo stories now before I click.
Yeah I deleted history and cache and it helped for a while and then it came back but not as frequent. I got a new phone last weekend and gone for now. My next step was going to be that pop up blocker. It is all about accidentally downloading something. I am being really careful with my new phone. No porn sites! Ha
I have the same issue and it's only on this site right now. I'm sure they are not being sold by Steve, but it's creeping in somehow. It's those invasive ads that basically render your phone useless and there's no way to get out of them other than to restart the phone.
