We are beyond excited and can't wait to see what all the hype is all about! Get on a plane at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow morning and should be at the pool by 2:30 p.m! Last night we basically finished packing so we could leave today to try and think of things we might be forgetting. So I ask of you veterans, what might we be forgetting as 1st timers that we should pack? Any other advice? Such as Sensual Massage, other massage places, activities, thing that are MUST DO and other that are SHOULDN'T DO, places to eat, attire, etc?
MUST DO... Leave preconceptions behind... Be open minded and friendly to all... Be non-judgemental.... And, Most Of All... Accept and Welcome the Addiction of TTR!!! Lol... Only Shouldn't Do... same as anytime in life, don't do anything you don't want to! Oh, another Should... Do what you want to!!! Maybe our paths will cross... arrive 15th!
You have to do us a favor! Some really good friends of ours just got there today--Tim and Laurie (Slopoke on here) and Brian and Alicia (same name on here.) They're with a huge group, so you won't be able to miss them at the sexy pool. Just ask around, and someone will know them! So, can you mess with them a little for us? (I promise, they'll get a huge kick out of it!) 1. Find Tim. Act serious--tell him you were just in the lobby, and there's a girl named Laura there who asked you to find him because she needs his room number--she's checking in and staying in their room. 2. Find Brian and Alicia. Tell them you have a message for them: "Armageddon!" They'll know who it's from! Other than that--Water resistant sport sunscreen or sunscreens made for babies are best, don't forget Ibuprofen, and pack your theme outfits in ziplock baggies so you don't have to dig through your suitcase to find all the pieces after a day of drinking.
Dish soap for your mug Diarrhea medicine (yes, it could happen to YOU) T-shirt you can wear in the pool in case you get burned (even consider a long-sleeved one, if you tend to burn easily...you don't want to have to sit out a day with a burn because you have nothing to cover yourself while in the pool) Hat, even if you don't normally wear one in the sun (in case you burn your face) Aloe vera gel (there seems to be a theme in my post...) Band aids for blisters from dancing all night in high heels Pedialyte or other electrolyte-replacing product Lots of sunscreen (hugely expensive in Mexico) Pool bag to carry your stuff to the pool Extra sunglasses Sunglass spray cleaner Small bills for tipping Liquid lingerie detergent for washing chlorine out bikinis Lip balm with sunscreen
Most of the above I have in my medicine bag! Lol... If needed, welcome to whoever!!! Including lots of extras! Even have two courses of antibiotics, this time... courtesy of my hubby being in hospital ten days ago....
Some good advice above. I will answer some of your specific questions... Since you have been ls for 3 years I am going to assume you have had some awesome eye opening experiences. If so, skip the massage. May seem boring to you. Must do? Definitely go up and talk to a couple you wouldn’t normally talk to. Everyone is so open at TTR. This could be someone you want to have fun with or just someone different that may be interesting to talk to and get to know. Diversity is great at TTR. If you find yourself watching the first few days due to nerves or whatever, the sooner you say f it and get out there and realize no one gives a Damn and just have fun the more you will get out of your trip. And this one is the most important thing of all. You must, absolutely must, remember to say hello when we arrive at noon on Saturday and give us the low down. I.e. these people are the party animals...watch out for that guy as he will grab your ass on the dance floor...that couple is having a party later, etc ha Have Fun!
Careful of the day 1 curse. “Party hard and miss the evening “ After travel it’s easy to show up slightly dehydrated and then start pounding drinks and shots. Split it up 1 for 1 : drink & water Go easy on shots Have a great trip. We arrive next Tuesday
Beware of the first day curse. It's real even if you know about it. I thought I was going slow...then woke up at 2am with loss of memories....
