I have seen many people referring to black Friday deals...when does this typically happen (more specifically notification of dates and prices etc) or is it just first come first served and prices aren't shown until black Friday, and on what site? We got what we think is a pretty good deal by booking several months in advance - $2800 and change CAD out of Vancouver for 7 nights in September for a garden view room. Any locals able to attest to black Friday deals being cheaper?
We are booked for 4 nights in June for $900 USD through the Black Friday sale..it was on the TTR website for a couple of weeks last black Friday.
Hi guys, Local vancouverites here. November is cyber sale Are flights included in your $2800+ week cost and for 2 people? If so then great deal. Best we ever got was about $800 each for a week including flights (was September dates a couple years back and also a last minute booking) Air Mexico with a single connection at Mexico City has crazy cheap flights. Also Interjet has some great prices too. Check out Chris Myden YVR deals. We do the red eye flight with a connection and arrive around 10am at resort with over $400 savings in return flights each. Hotel holds our bags until 4 when our room is ready and we start the party early. November Cyber sale was every 3rd night free so average of $170 per night for 2 people at members price. (We are members so $236 a night at low season and we got the 3rd night free deal too) Lots of discount offers available throughout the year with different travel companies so plan your dates ahead of time & keep an eye on this site. Then a short notice WestJet, Interjet, Air Mexico sale can be acted upon right away. For Referrals the hotel honors beating the best advertised on-line price so if you do a referral (which is 25% hotel rack rate/retail) you can for sure get the lowest price but that doesn’t work if it’s a flight & hotel package.
Yes, 2800 all in, non stop with decent arrival times 1430 in Cancun. Booked thru interjet as they were the only carrier offering non stop flights for our dates and were the cheapest by far. Same flight is now a few hundred more. Thanks for the detailed response!
In Dec, we found same price AI out of Ottawa with Air Canada for end of Jan-Feb but waited a week and got screwed $300. ($3100) Interjet as good deals out of Montreal for flights only but have to look often, cause price varies a lot from day to day.
