So, I've worn boardshorts for years now and Patti (my wife) was always content with them until... she read this thread. Now guess whose shopping online for square cut shorts with a little more than a month before our trip because she thinks they will look sexy. Sexy is out the window with these things on me, I'm just hoping to look good and not goofy. Thanks @ScubaSteve
I’m counting on no one caring what I’m wearing when all these beautiful women are walking around nearly naked. Having said that I plan to bring square cut, 3-5” inseam trunks and boardshorts so it’ll be a game day decision.
Just rocked the sq cut shorts all last week, everyone here is right, super cool/ sexy and coming out of water is super easy. Wifey like them too.
So far the trials of the square cut shorts that I have received have not gone well (still haven't given up yet though). I don't know if it's just the initial shock to Elyse of something different, or if they just aren't appealing on me. I don't have much of an ass, so maybe I don't fill them out correctly. And I guess I am pretty much top heavy as well, topped off with big melon). "Chicken legs" might be the technical term, but I think it's just their relation to my shoulders/chest/neck...I don't skip leg day btw hahaha. So anyway I will keep doing some trials, and most likely keep getting a good laugh out of Elyse. She came out of the bathroom the other night when I had a pair on, and her immediate statement was "What's up sexy legs hahaha". So I knew those weren't the shorts for me, as it was said in complete sarcasm. So now I ordered these. I figured if I am trying to get away from the long shorts, and the square cuts don't look good, might as will push it to the limit.
Personally, no... just no! I know no judgement... but I have been traumatised by older brothers, y fronts, with skid marks, hanging on the washing line!!!! Lol... That vs board, board every time!

I have a couple pairs and Paula likes them on me (although her first reaction was to laugh as well). I usually am not brave enough to break them out until the Boobs Cruise but once I do, I remember how much I like them and end up wearing them to the sexy pool after that. I actually gave one pair to a guy we met at the sexy pool after the Boobs Cruise. We were talking with him and his wife and she told me I was very confusing. My swimsuit was very European but my hat and camo sunglasses were very redneck LOL. No word on whether he ever worked up the nerve to wear them but his wife sure wanted him to.
