I much prefer ccc than Facebook... With Facebook, I think some people post specifically to get a reaction. If you don't like TTR, don't go or leave a bad review on TripAdvisor... why plaster it on Facebook? Also, on Facebook, it can be hard to find posts (at least I find that)... My husband uses Facebook more and I use ccc. But, I try to only use Facebook for our business. All in all, especially when we were first going to TTR, ccc was invaluable in providing information! Thank you Steve!!!
You said something there....that your wife does only the CCC Facebook page, and you do mainly the CCC forum. My wife and I are the same way. Seems thats the way it is with a lot of couples that go to TTR. My wife checks the CCC FB page every day, but never logs on here. Ive asked her why, and she doesnt really know why she likes the FB page more. hahaha Seems to be an overwhelming majority of men on this forum, and mostly couples on the FB page. Interesting.
I’m on both equally as much, and check tem multiple times a day. I basically have my iPad with me all of the time. I don’t comment that much, it’s mostly just reading.
I prefer the way you can go right to the topics you're interested in on this forum. I don't like to dig through the feeds or keep up with a bunch of different groups on Facebook. I also feel like all of the little FB groups split up the party. I've never understood why it seems other women prefer FB to CCC.
A lil surprised that no posts have referred to the FB data scandal. Has nobody called it quits with FB and deleted their account or is the breach of privacy 'much ado about nothing'?
Just trying to drill down a bit and probe gender traits, while tactfully guarding against sexism. But a few posts have raised the user profiles' on both platforms. Is Facebook more female friendly? What is it about CCC that seems to appeal to men more than women? Is it layout, subject matter, info, picture galleries? What changes are needed to CCC to make it more comfortable for ladies?
Yes but my solution was never to create FB account no matter all the urging from family, friends, and my wife! What hashappened with big data is exactly what I have been predicting...and I predict to get worse. Steve please protect us here on this forum...
More women appear to be on FB as it is used for more in everyday life...according to my wife. She is plugged into it all day for lots of other reasons and it is easy to slide over and check on things on the group. This CCC forum is more directed to vacationing in Cancun...in our case TTR. Maybe men are more ne dimensional with what we have on our mnds...like all of our juicy discussion topics and photos!!!
