We must have gotten really lucky on this the last time, as we saw the same comments and were also concerned. We brought a travel size Lysol spray and never had to use it. Maybe we were to preoccupied to notice the smell, LOL! Cheers!
We’ve never had a sewer smell in our room in 6 trips there. Have definitely smelled it at times in certain areas walking around resort. As we have as well at other resorts too in Mexico.
The tropics does have it,s own''smell' because of the humidity ,, my shirts are packed in clear plastic bags with a bounce sheet in the bag . When I,m ready for them they smell , dryer fresh .
We bring: Power strip for more outlets Room candles to cover up any musky smells and intimate light Hanging make up holder to put on the back of the bathroom door - I have a luggage fetish Yes suction cup hooks Extra hangers (msybe we pack too much) Coffee filters and coffee - hate any hotel/resort in room coffee A great attitude and anticipation for unexpected fun with good people Are thinking about bringing wine this year - gotta to buy winewings on Amazon for safe wine travel IPod and speak when do we get a list of fun things people bring?
This is easy fix.... pour a good amount of water in that drain. What happens is weeks of no water going in that drain the "P " trap drain dries up and the gas flows backwards. The trap like under your home sink needs water to work
I will note having been in the Ocean View rooms 2 times sense the Renovation we have had no smell at all. Make sure you put the water in the drain on the floor under the sink , that is the one that can smell the shower is usually fine. Like I said though last to trips Sept and January was fine
