Pharmacy store across the street

if you don't like the pharmacy there is a little store a bit down the way to the left on the side the pharmacy is on called my friend
very nice people work there prices are good ..and they have pretty much everything ..liquor ..sunscreen hair stuff ..we go and pick up cigs there every trip ..

If they're referring to the Oxxo down the street, yes, easy walking distance. We tend to go there in the morning for coffee since it's exponentially better than TTR's coffee (to be fair, it's standard 7-11/gas station fare, but still much better). Its maybe an extra minute walk, if that. Just two blocks down from the pharmacy.

 

You obviously haven't been there in a while.
The coffee at Caffeine in TTR lobby, is a hell of a lot better than what you describe.
One of many awesome additons to TTR 2.0 is the coffee bar!

 

I was there 2 years ago and it was very reasonable. The prescription drugs were reasonable too.

 

I think the moral of the story is - just check a bag?? Save yourself the hassle.

 

OXOX is great for mixers, Redbull/Monster etc. BUT, get some Peso's to pay for items like this. The exchange rate for USD is "flexible" when shopping there. They will give you your change back in Peso's, and charge you a heft exchange rate. It's not THAT big a deal, but I went several times for the same thing and was charged a different amount every time. LOL

 

i don't understand the logic of taking a couple hours of your vacation and paying for a taxi to take you somewhere to buy stuff that would have been cheaper to just buy at home in order to save $25 on a checked bag when you are going to an all inclusive where the booze is included?.

 

An intersting thought.
Just think how much more you can drink or party in those 2 hours!
