They have great prices on prescription meds (no prescription needed) but the cheapest we have seen sunscreen is $28 US. They are very friendly too.

We're using USA Transfers. When booking it has the option to add a stop at a grocery store but it is an extra $30

Ask your driver and he may be able to stop... and tip him $10-$20.
All depends how busy they are.

My guess is that the pharmacist thought you looked like you could use it!

The Mrs lost her voice and got sick in the middle of our stay and a friend had the same deal so we all went across and they do have a doc or something close and gave us a battery of meds (antibiotics, anti-allergenics, pain killers...$70) . I checked Google to see if it looked right and it did. Booked doctor appointment at home from there and they confirmed that what they gave us was ok. This episode just gave us extra confidence for future trips. May not be cheap but if it works while over there... Big thanks to Nathalie for the tip! xxoo

@Steve will correct me if I bave this wrong.
But I feel like I was told, all Ahorro's pharmacies have a doctor on duty, 24-7, with separate office around the side of the location.
You only pay for the supplies/medication, not the doctors time.

I had a nasty gash in my hand from a impaled chamapagne glass stem.
Went to Ahorro, after Miguel (security guard we affectionately call KoJak) patched me up.
The doctor stitched me up and it costs 70.00 for the sutures disinfectant and injection and bandages.
Who thing done in 20 or 25 mins, back partying at TTR.

Hell of alot better than the medical situation back home with hospital emergencies wards where that could be 3 or 6 hours

So is this a flat rate...$70 for what ever you take?

No that was for my ailment.

I was inferring whatever your case is, you only pay for the items, (prescription, needle, etc)
Therr is no fee for the doctor's time or prognosis.

All.pharmacies should have a doctor on duty.....Mexico is way ahead of us and our so-called free healthcare
